    Preschool Information Preschool ​ Welcome Parents/Guardians To Berwyn South School District 100's Preschool Program Berwyn South School District 100 provides preschool programming for children from ages 3 to 5 year olds. Mission Statement: Berwyn South School District 100's Preschool Program aims to provide positive, appropriate, learning opportunities for all children.     Our American Voice Our American Voice ​ Welcome! ​ Our American Voice (OAV) Our American Voice Website District 100 students are getting involved in their communities and making a difference as a part of Our American Voice . This program aims at getting youth involved in the democratic process through active community problem solving in a program that is engaging, interactive and grounded in real life. ---Governor Quinn sent a letter to District 100 recognizing the efforts of the OAV students.     Summer Reading This year, Berwyn South D100 is partnering with the Berwyn Public Library for the Summer Reading Program. We would like to invite all students to participate in “Explore Berwyn and Beyond”. The Library will kick off the event on June 5thfrom 10:00 am – 12:00 pm in the Library’s parking lot. Because of the size of the event, all patrons should wear masks and observe social distancing. There will be prizes, music, entertainment, and a chance to meet some beloved characters from favorite books. Send a picture of your child reading throughout the summer so that we can post it on social media to . We encourage students to read around 30 minutes each day. Younger children can read on their own, with an adult, or listen to audiobooks. Districtwide When is the official last day of school? School will end on June 1, 2020. This is subject to change What if I am not getting district, school or teacher emails? Please make sure your email address is up to date in powerschool. When does registration start? Registration is now open for all incoming kindergarteners. In early May, we will communicate to our families about open registration. All information on registration can be found here . Will meals be provided during the entire school closure period? Yes, BSD100 will continue to provide meals for our students. Please continue to check the BSD website for information. What support are available through the school district? ZOOM combines video conferencing, online meetings, chat, and mobile collaboration and is used by teachers to connect with students in the remote learning environment. The app contributes to the implementation of remote instruction by having an additional video option available Is Zoom safe for students? BSD100 is providing Zoom securely through Clever. Google Hangouts is part of our G-Suite for Education platform and consists of Google Meet and Google Chat. We recognize the frustration families are experiencing and are currently working with the Illinois State Board of Education to resolve this state-wide situation.
