Department of Teaching & Learning

The Department of Teaching & Learning is dedicated to ensuring that every student has access to high-quality instruction, innovative learning opportunities, and the supports they need to succeed. Under the leadership of Dr. Beatriz Maldonado, Assistant Superintendent of Teaching & Learning, the department oversees curriculum and instruction, language acquisition, special education, assessment, instructional innovation, and early learning. Together, our team of directors, coordinators, and specialists works collaboratively with educators across the district to design engaging curriculum, implement effective instructional practices, and provide targeted supports that meet the diverse needs of all learners. Through this collective effort, the Department of Teaching & Learning drives academic excellence and fosters a culture of continuous growth for both students and staff.
