Children who lack a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime abode are eligible for McKinney-Vento services. In general, children or youth living in motels, transitional housing, shelters, on the street, in cars, in abandoned buildings, or in other inadequate accommodations may be eligible for McKinney-Vento services. If you believe your child may be eligible for McKinney-Vento services, don't hesitate to get in touch with the main office at your child's school.
