Employment

District 100 is currently hiring substitute teachers. The current shortage of substitute teachers is impacting schools nationwide, and substitute teachers are essential to the daily operations of schools and the educational experiences of students. We value the many community members who serve as substitutes in our buildings and look forward to welcoming new substitutes to District 100.

If you or anyone you know is interested in substitute teaching, please see the video below for more information. The video is shared through West 40, the intermediate service center that serves school districts in West Cook County, including District 100. If you have any questions, please get in touch with Scott Hadala, Director of Human Resources at (708) 303-4093 or email shadala@bsd100.org.

Thank you for expressing an interest in Berwyn South School District 100. We believe that “schools are people”, and our schools are as good as our staff. With this belief in mind, we focus on providing teachers with the help they need to perform as competent and caring educators. Berwyn South School District 100 serves the children in South Berwyn, where the student population continues to increase yearly. Berwyn is located 15 miles west of  Chicago and is just minutes away by car or public transportation. On a clear day, the Chicago skyscrapers can be seen from the streets of Berwyn. The residents of Berwyn enjoy the suburban atmosphere and the benefits of being near a large city. Our 8 neighborhood schools are the pride of our families for their children aged preschool to 8th grade.
