Berwyn, IL (May 14, 2008) – The Berwyn South School District 100 Board of Education unanimously

appointed Dr. Stanley S. Fields Wednesday as the District’s new superintendent effective July 1, 2008.

He follows Dr. Patricia Wernet, who will become Lisle Community Unit School District 202’s

superintendent.

Dr. Fields has served as Principal of Morton West High School, Assistant Superintendent for Business at

Morton School District 201, Superintendent of Mundelein School District 120 and most recently

Proviso Township High School District 209 Superintendent. In June, 2000, Dr. Field’s accepted the

position of Principal of Morton West High School and moved his family from Oklahoma. He is familiar

with our diverse community and welcomes the opportunity to continue to make a difference in the lives

of our students.

Joanne Zendol, President of the South Berwyn School District 100 Board of Education said that Dr. Fields

brings multi‐faceted experience to the district. “He has thorough knowledge of school finance, sound

management, and community relations. He has experience as a Superintendent of two school districts

with serious financial, operational and performance challenges. His extensive record of secondary

education will provide the foundation for leadership of District 100. We are extremely pleased about

Dr. Fields joining our school district. He is someone who will continue to move us forward.”

Dr. Fields earned his Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts and a Doctorate of Philosophy from the University

of Tulsa Oklahoma.

His career in education has been highlighted by his long and short‐range District goals, guiding Boards of

Education through difficult decisions and making strong recommendations that will continue to move

District 100 forward.

Dr. Fields is married to Tracey. They have two children Ashton and Cole.
