Listen to the melody here (after a four bar intro), and then try to play it.
|
Now you get to play your own version of the melody. Listen to this recording of an embellished melody and then try it yourself.
Now you are ready to try playing the different chords. Listen to the melody again, and then play the third note of every chord during the second chorus. Try this again, with the 1st, 5th, and 7th notes of the chords. Can you hear the harmony changing? Experiment this time with any notes from the chords. Now you are ready for a solo.Use your version of the melody and notes from each chord to improvise your own solo. |
