Board of Education Goals 2007-2008

The Board of Education consists of seven members, and each member is elected
to a term of four years. Regular meetings of the Board of education are held on
the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. During some months, there are
two Board of Education meetings. All of the Board of Education meetings are
open to the public. Listed below are the members of the District 100 Board of
Education.

These goals provide the rudder for our District’s focus and
provide direction for operating an effective and efficient $27 million dollar
school system. The goals will remain in the forefront throughout the school
year.
- Goal 1: To Commit to Continuous Improvement
- In order to focus on continuous improvement, our District
will increase student and staff learning.
- Goal 2: To Provide a Positive Partnership with the South Berwyn Community
- In order to expand our positive partnership with our
internal and external community members, we will provide greater
opportunities for communication and interaction.
- Goal 3: To Provide a Safe and Caring Learning Environment
- In order to achieve the District’s focus of commitment
to continuous improvement, we will provide our students and staff
with a safe and caring learning environment.
- Goal 4: To Manage for Financial Integrity
- In order to ensure achievement of goals, the District
will plan for present and future needs and report out to all members
of our internal and external community.
